Woodlands Community Lenders (WCL), an affiliate of Woodlands Development Group, is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that provides small business financing in Barbour, Randolph, and Tucker Counties in North Central West Virginia. We believe that successful local businesses are key to keeping communities strong, vital, and connected.

Beginning in 2012 with two grants from the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation and the Tucker Community Foundation, WCL has been able to lend over $1.4 million directly to local businesses and organizations. This capital has resulted in more than 20 new businesses and more than 50 businesses supported in the region. We're excited to see where we can go from here!
